Privacy

The short version

Neuronplex builds learning apps used by children. We do not sell personal data, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not build profiles of children for any purpose other than showing them the right next question.

We hold what an app needs to work and no more, we say how long we keep it, and we delete it when you ask.

Each app has its own notice

Our apps do genuinely different things with different data, so a single company-wide policy would have to be so general as to be useless. This page covers what is true of Neuronplex as a company.

What a particular app records about a particular child, how long it keeps it and who can see it is set out in that app's own privacy notice, which you will find inside the app and on its own site. That is the document to read if you want the specifics, and it is the one that governs where the two differ.

Who we are

Neuronplex is a company registered in Singapore. We are the data controller for the apps listed above. If you want to reach a person about anything on this page, write to [email protected] and one will answer.

Payments

Payments are handled by Stripe. Card numbers are entered on Stripe's own pages and never reach our servers, so we cannot see them, store them or lose them. What we hold is the payer's email address, whether a subscription is active, and when the current period ends.

Where an app is used by someone under 18, the person paying is an adult, and their billing record is kept separately from the child's learning record.

Children

Our apps are for school-age learners and this shapes everything above. Three things hold across all of them:

• We ask a child's age once, and refuse the service to anyone below an app's minimum.
• Nothing we build is a companion or a general chat partner. Where an app uses a language model, it is bounded to the subject and cannot be turned into somewhere a child confides.
• A child's work is not used to train anyone else's model.

Your rights under the PDPA

Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act gives you the right to ask what we hold about you or your child, to have it corrected, and to withdraw consent. Deletion is available in the apps themselves, and by email if you would rather ask us.

Write to [email protected]. We aim to answer within a few days, and the PDPA allows us up to 30 days.

Changes

If we change how an app handles data in a way that matters, we will say so in the app rather than only editing this page and hoping you re-read it. The date at the top of this page tells you when it last changed.
